Improving performance on Docker

By default, Docker uses its native filesharing system. In macOS, this system is known to be very slow. To fix this issue:
  1. 1.
    Go to Docker Desktop > Preferences > General
  2. 2.
    uncheck the “Use gRPC for file sharing” option”
Furthermore, Docker restricts its resources to retain the performance of the host machine. In some computers, this can heavily slow down the performance of the Stack backend (used to query datasets and perform version-control). To fix this:

    Go to Docker Desktop > Preferences > Resources
  2. 2.
    Adjust the resources to:
